New Message Retrieval Option

Worried your call might be missed? Jyngle now allows users to attach an SMS retrieval notification to their voice messages.

By just selecting the SMS notification box when you send your message, Jyngle delivers an automated text message to let your recipients know they received a Jyngle voice message and provides a call-back number and unique PIN to access and listen to their message when it's convenient for them.

Free Service for University Emergency Communications

To start with the most important point, our thoughts and prayers are with the Virginia Tech community as they cope with this week's tragedy.

The situation caused us to re-evaluate our own priorities and allowed us to realize that we are in a position to make a positive impact for the future of emergency communications. We will be offering our paid, enterprise-level Jyngle services to colleges and universities free of charge for their emergency communications purposes.

Free? What's the catch, you say? No catch, no hidden agenda. We simply feel its our responsibility to do what we can to help keep campuses as safe as possible by making Jyngle readily and financially accessible. All we ask is that our users spread the word to other colleagues and neighboring schools.

If you are involved with a university that may benefit or know someone who is, please have them contact us at info@jyngle.com.

Updated Features: Jyngle Version 1.2

I am very excited to announce the latest version of Jyngle which includes multiple feature enhancements.

The biggest addition is the release of Jyngle Enterprise. Jyngle Enterprise allows companies (not individuals) to import contacts into Jyngle without requiring the contacts to double opt-in with the Jyngle opt-in feature. Companies must have collected the contact information using a valid opt-in method. If your company would like to register to be a Jyngle Enterprise user, please visit us at www.jyngle.com/enterprise.

Other features included in this release:
  • Jyngle Credits: Jyngle credits can be used to send Ad-free messages or repeat messages. Credits are purchased online through PayPal, using existing PayPal credits or any major credit card. Each credit costs $.03 USD.
  • Ad-Free Messages: Users now have the ability to send messages without sponsor advertising. Ad-free SMS messages allow you for a 140 character message instead of the standard 120 characters. Ad-free messages are a premium, paid Jyngle feature. Ad-free SMS costs two Jyngle credits per recipient and Ad-free voice messages costs one Jyngle credit per recipient. Don't worry, free Jyngle messages containing small amounts of sponsor advertising are always available as well.
  • Repeat Messages: Repeat messages allow you to schedule a message to be automatically sent daily or weekly. Repeat messages are only available as paid messages, using the same credit charge structure as Ad-free messages.
We hope you enjoy these new enhancements to the Jyngle service and as always, love to hear your feedback. The next round of features is already in development. Please check back to stay up-to-date on Jyngle features.

DEMO Recap

I'm back to share final thoughts on DEMO after recovering from a pile of emails and post-DEMO tasks...and painfully readjusting to Milwaukee's frigid sub-zero weather. One of theses days, someone is going to need to remind me why I don't live in California.

We kicked off DEMO Thursday, day 2, with butterflies in our stomaches and excitement in the air. Matt and I patiently sat through several early demos before heading over the the green room. The stage tech team from Evergreen Creative is probably one of the most knowledgable, efficient and calming groups of people ever. They were helpful and reassuring before we went on stage...and the hot, lavender-scented towels they provided didn't hurt.

The demo itself flew by in a blur. It's amazing how much faster 6 minutes seems when you're on stage! Technically everything went perfectly, as did our script (minus a little shakiness on the part of my hands). And as we walked back into the green room, Matt and I couldn't have felt better. Relief! Excitement! Relief!

Day 2 pavilion time was less eventful which made it easier to recover from the morning adrenaline rush and enjoy the afternoon presentations, which included some cool social and search-oriented products. The day concluded with a pleasant dinner with our new DEMO friends and an unfortunately uncomfortable press panel.

Overall DEMO was an amazing experience for our team and our product. Immediate responses have been very positive and the connections made promise an exciting future for Jyngle. Stay tuned for show pictures and links to our video!

Wednesday Recap

The whirlwind at DEMO continues. Wednesday was a mad flurry of watching presentations, showing Jyngle to press, venture capitalists and new friends at our pavilion booth #18 and attempting to find food and water throughout the day.

Yesterday's presentations included an inkless printer, a variety of beautiful media sharing applications and Barry Bonds. Barry Bonds? Yep, at DEMO you never know what kind of magic tricks you'll see.

So after a restless night of sleep, we're gearing up for OUR demo this morning. Wish us luck at 9:38 PT to be exact. A video of our presentation should be available online tomorrow afternoon at www.demo.com.
